Being a child of God means that, through faith in Jesus Christ, a person is adopted into God’s family. This implies a new identity and a close relationship with God as a dad.
But to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the power to become children of God; John 1:12. It is important that when you ask yourself the question, how do I see God? be clear that he is a father most likely very different from your earthly father. He created you and knows you long before and gave you a purpose. Many times we focus on the fact that God is an almighty superior entity that is only there to judge us, but God is an understanding father with whom we should spend more time to get to know Him. He is a dad who is always there for us and never fails. He is willing to guide you to a better path in the center of his will, for which we must look for him, that is the key to any type of relationship. For you have not received the spirit of slavery to fear again, but you have received the spirit of adoption, by which we cry: Abba, Father! Romans 8:15 Abba, daddy, how great to be able to tell him like that with such closeness.
